Dr. Keisha Stephenson Taylor will discuss the strategies needed to chart your professional path as she presents some of the ideas she has written about in her new book Fuel Your Future: Power Up for the World of Work.

This dynamic, interactive session equips participants with the tools and strategies needed to strengthen their career readiness and navigate today’s rapidly changing workforce. Drawing on practical frameworks from Fuel Your Future Power Up for the World of Work and current research on workplace success, participants will explore ways to build and apply essential competencies such as adaptability, resilience, and grit—skills highly sought after by employers across industries.

Through guided reflection and hands-on activities, attendees will walk away with small, sustainable behavior shifts that foster confidence, problem-solving, and effective relationship-building in professional environments. The session emphasizes developing self-awareness, identifying and articulating transferable skills, and cultivating a future-ready mindset that supports both immediate job search efforts and long-term career growth. Dr. Taylor holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Rowan University and earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University.
