After working his way through low-budget productions, Jonathan Demme pushed the envelope with Oscar-winning films like “Philadelphia” and “The Silence of the Lambs. But he could also be counted on to deliver offbeat efforts as “Something Wild” and “Married to the Mob.” He also had an astute appreciation for music, as evidenced in his soundtracks and concert films. Our special guest will be David M. Stewart, author of “There’s No Going Back: The Life and Work of Jonathan Demme.”  Hosted by Irv Slifkin. Registration required.
