Barbara Stanwyck Film Series
Born Ruby Catherine Stevens in Brooklyn in 1907,
Barbara Stanwyck’s long and illustrious career started in the late 1920s with a series of risqué “pre-Code” pictures and lasted until the 1980s where the actress won awards for her appearance in the top-rated TV work like “The Thorn Birds.” In between, Stanwyck proved she was at ease in whatever type of role she took whether it be farce, western, drama, thriller or romance. This series offers a brief look into her impressive and wide-ranging screen work.
