Talk: Tea & the Mad Hatter

Remember Alice and the Mad Hatter’s Tea party? In the 1860s, when Lewis Carol wrote his Alice books, tea gatherings were popular with people of all classes. Today we will learn the history of this much-loved beverage but also some of Lewis Carol’s social comments on the Victorian Age. Proper tea etiquette will be discussed.
